The Board of County Commissioners approved a plan Tuesday for the county to pursue legal action against drug manufacturers and distributors to recover costs for the opioid epidemic incurred by the County. (news)
An Outdoor Festival License was approved for the annual Pumpkin Days event on October 19-21, 2018 at Ian Deutch Memorial Park in Pahrump. (7)
An application was approved to change approximately 604.86 acres adjacent to the Spring Mountain Motor Speedway in Pahrump from BLM Disposal Nomination to Special Plan of Development for the proposed development of additional racetrack. The board also approved changing conforming zone change from Reserve to Heavy Industrial with Special Projects Overlay. (8)
Pahrump VFW Post was awarded $5,000 for an upgrade to the facility's kitchen to be funded from the Veterans Services fund (35)

Accepted $2,000 grant for toddler swim lessons for 2018 season from Southern Nevada Chapter of International Code Council (21)
Approved agreements to provide shade structures at Petrack Park and Ian Deutch Memorial Park from Town of Pahrump Capital Projects funds (22 and 23)
Unincorporated Town of Beatty actions
$14,000 for the purchase of fireworks for the Town of Beatty fireworks show, funded from Beatty Town fund and Beatty Room Tax (25)
$25,000 with 10% contingency for interior maintenance project at Beatty Community Center (26)
