TONOPAH, Nev., July 3, 2018 - The following report highlights several important actions taken at the Nye County Board of Commissioners meeting. The agenda numbers provide links to each item’s backup.

The Nevada Association of Counties gave a presentation to the board discussing what the organization has been advocating for on the counties' behalf, and also looked forward to the 2019 Legislature, which starts in February. The presentation was given by Executive Director Dagny Stapleton and Deputy Director Vinson Guthreau. (8)
County Recorder Deborah Beatty reported plans for the office's technology fees, including the continued preservation and restoration of the recorder's books in the Tonopah vault. The Recorder also plans to spend $20,000 on historical newspaper imaging the collection in the Central Nevada Museum in Tonopah. (15)
The Board had a split vote with one commissioner absent on item (19), causing the item to fail.
