UPDATED (April 3, 2020): County Government Offices and other operations will remain at their current levels until at least April 30th. This is inline with the Governor’s Stay At Home directive.
UPDATED (April 1, 2020): County Government Offices have notified the county administration that they have closed for an undetermined amount of time to public walk-ins but will maintain regular business hours to respond by email and phone, and process electronic filings. The courts have also issued Administrative Orders regarding operations. These steps are being taken out of an abundance of caution in the face of Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns. The county has also established a Coronavirus (COVID-19) information page with latest positive case count by town.
Please see each department or office’s webpage for hours and contact information:

SENIOR CENTERS ADJUST OPERATIONS
Senior Nutrition gives an update on the current status and plans for both of the Tonopah and Beatty senior centers starting Monday, March 23rd. Also, transportation services are suspended until further notice.
Also, at the bottom is a list of food pantries in Pahrump and Tonopah.
* Drive-Thru/Pick-Up - Still on schedule daily 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
* Home Delivered Meals - Still on schedule daily for regular clients and temporary for those who do not have transportation.
* Drive-Thru/Pick-Up - We made a tough decision today, but will need to
close the center until further notice (anticipated maximum time through April 17th). There is now a confirmed case of COVID-19 in Beatty and the limited staff we have on hand, as well as the entire community, is feeling especially anxious now about coming into work... Our site manager and dishwasher are there today and will hand out today’s meal, as well as letting clients know closure details.
* Home Delivered Meals - For the 5 clients that are currently receiving HD (3 Reg + 2 Temp), Friday’s hot meal plus 10 frozen meals will be delivered around 11:15 AM. Senior Nutrition will re-evaluate plans this week. There may also be additional frozen meals at the Tonopah Senior Center that can be dropped off in Beatty if necessary.
With every day bringing a new update and change to COVID-19 concerns and cases, we want to take every precaution possible to keep everyone as safe as possible and eliminate any unnecessary exposure risks. As soon as authorities have confirmed that those risks have subsided, we will re-open to the public, and/or at minimum, restart drive-thru/pick-up. And, we will continue to do our best to ensure that our neediest seniors have meals throughout this uncertain period of time.
NOTE: The County does not oversee the Senior Center programs in Pahrump, Amargosa Valley, or elsewhere. Please contact those centers for their plans.
Please see the lists below for food pantries for Tonopah and Pahrump.
