The Board of Equalization convenes twice each assessment year and continues in session during regular office hours until all taxpayer appeals are heard or otherwise resolved. Hearings are usually conducted at either Pahrump or Tonopah.
For information about filing an appeal on your assessed valuation, please contact the Nye County Assessor.
If you have questions regarding the meetings of the Board of Equalization, please contact the Nye County Clerk who is the Ex-Officio Clerk of the Board.
The Board is an independent body organized to adjudicate appeals of various determinations made by county agencies.
It is comprised of five citizen members and alternate members appointed by the Nye County Commissioners to provide an impartial hearing environment that protects each party's due process rights and results in a fair decision.
