VOTER ALERTS

DUE TO THE  PASSAGE OF AB4 ALL ACTIVE REGISTERED VOTERS IN NYE COUNTY WILL RECEIVE A MAIL BALLOT FOR THE NOVEMBER 3, 2020 GENERAL ELECTION, BUT ALL VOTERS WILL HAVE THE OPTION OF VOTING IN PERSON AT THE POLLS ON TOUCHSCREEN VOTING MACHINES.

VOTED MAIL BALLOTS MAY BE RETURNED IN PERSON TO THE CLERK'S OFFICE IN PAHRUMP OR TONOPAH, OR ANY POLLING LOCATION IN NYE COUNTY BY THE CLOSE OF POLLS ON ELECTION DAY. MAILED BALLOTS MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE ELECTION DAY TO BE COUNTED. OCTOBER 27, 2020 IS THE LAST DAY THE CLERK’S OFFICE WILL MAIL OUT REPLACEMENT BALLOTS.

THINGS TO EXPECT AT THE POLLS FOR IN-PERSON VOTING:

  • EXPECT LONG LINES. YOUR MAIL BALLOT HAS TO BE CANCELED BEFORE YOU CAN BE ALLOWED TO VOTE IN PERSON SO CHECK IN WILL TAKE LONGER.
  • EXPECT LESS VOTING MACHINES AS WE WILL HAVE TO MAKE SURE VOTERS CAN MAINTAIN A SOCIAL DISTANCE WHILE VOTING.
  • EQUIPMENT WILL NEED TO BE SANITIZED BETWEEN VOTERS

Visit www.RegisterToVoteNV.gov to register to vote online or make updates to your existing voter record.

Contact the Nye County Clerk’s Office if you have any questions regarding your voter registration status
