Planning Applications Utilized Within the Pahrump Regional Planning District

  • Appeal
    • For use in the appeal process of land use decisions made by the Pahrump Regional Planning Commission (RPC) or the Zoning Administrator.
  • Business License Review
    • Required prior to the issuance of a business license.
  • Business License Sales Fee Monthly Form Medical Cannabis
  • Business License Sales Fee Monthly Form Recreational Cannabis
  • Cannabis Waiver/Deferral Application

    • Required when property owners seek to develop their properties at densities, intensities, or with uses that are not permitted under the current Master Plan category.

    • Approval is required prior to any establishment operation.
  • Reconsideration of Conditions of Approval

    • Approval is required for any advertising structures and/or signs and prior to the issuance of building or other construction permits.
  • Site Development Plan
    • Approval is required for all commercial/industrial development and prior to the issuance of building or other construction permits.
  • Solid Waste Permit Application
    • Before any private landfill, recycling facility, or other private disposal or storage facility for solid waste located in Nye County, except a Class 3 mining landfill permitted by the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection, receives and/or disposes of solid waste, the private landfill, recycling facility or other private disposal or storage facility shall obtain authorization from the Board of County Commissioners by way of a permit for solid waste importation and disposal (hereafter "solid waste permit").
  • Special Use Permit
    • Used for Medical or Recreational Marijuana projects, power generation projects, transmission line projects.
  • Subdivision Address Assignment (New)
  • Temporary Use Permit
    • Approval is required for the temporary placement of a mobile home, commercial coach, or recreational vehicle when used as a residence.
  • Tenant Improvement
    • Approval is required, prior to the occupation of a building and any construction that involves modification to the inside of an existing building.

  • Zoning Review English          Zoning Review Español 
    • Approval is required prior to the construction of any development of the property which is not limited to a single family residence, garage, carport, well, septic, fence, casita or guest residence, also including the placement of a mobile home, and any construction that involves modifications of expansion of an existing building, or prior to establishing any other land use which may require a building permit.
    • Zoning reviews for utilities provided by a Utility Company will require an approval letter from the utility company regarding the type of service available;
    • Wells will require the recorded Water Rights Deed and/or proof of available water rights relinquishment effective 5/2021.
    • Accessory Dwelling units added to a parcel require the Division of Water Resources Domestic Water Well Use for an Accessory Dwelling Form.
    • Zoning Verification Request
      • To request the zoning and master plan category of a specific parcel.
